CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2013 PARTNERS WITH INDUSTRY
MARINE INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA – MIASA ENDORSES THE CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS
We are proud to announce that The Cape Town Boat Show in South Africa has been officially endorsed by MIASA “Marine Industry Association of South Africa”. Vanessa Davidson, MIASA CEO, commented “Through this partnership, our efforts to grow the boating industry are aligned and we trust that manufacturers, suppliers, other Associations and clubs and the boating public will benefit from the partnership.”
Dana Whiting of the Cape Town Boat Show was positive about the endorsement which cements the relationship between the industry association and the show. “Through the partnership we are able to deliver an improved show with more value add for exhibitors and visitors alike”, commented Dana.
With this recognition and endorsement The Cape Town Boat Show, along with MIASA, will expand it’s horizons with the aim of not only growing exhibitor numbers but also visitor numbers from a wider geographic footprint. The aim will also be to include inbound business visitors not only from around the world but also from Africa. With the combined resources of The Cape Town Boat Show, MIASA, Wesgro, Connect’d Cape and local government this show is now set to become the worldwide event it was always meant to be.

WORKSHOP AND LECTURE SERIES
The workshop and lecture series proved to be a huge success at the 2012 show and is geared to repeat again for the foreseeable future.

As always through an integrated marketing campaign we have planned various new, innovative and exciting ways to increase the number of visitors to the show. The comprehensive marketing campaign will use the following mediums : Radio Advertising – Street Posters – Newspaper Ads - Community Press Ads – Website Marketing – ongoing PR Campaign – Ads and editorial comment in relevant trade magazines – Editorial/Event listings in various international trade magazines – Flyer campaign – Billboard advertising etc.
TARGET MARKET - Anyone who has an interest in watersports and boating. Current owners of yachts, ski-boats, rubber ducks, jet ski’s, kayaks, wakeboards and anyone who is looking to upgrade, downgrade or change/add to their current boating activities. People looking for equipment, insurance, tuition, repairs or spares for their watersport. Divers, fishermen, windsurfers, kitesurfers. Destinations, travel and property ownership, and people looking for plans, materials, parts & kits for boat building at home.
